What it costs, and what happens after you send it

- It depends on which job, so here they are separately. Clean Septic Pumping lists $175 for a gravity system or $225 for a pressure system, plus $85 if pumping is not done on the same visit (a contractor-published price list serving Thurston County). For pumping, the same published lists show $535 for a pump-out, with Premier Septic Services in Yelm publishing $600 for tanks to 1,200 gallons, and a county pump report fee of $25 in Thurston County or $65 in Pierce County sits on top of that, and it is the county’s charge rather than the contractor’s price. Sterling Septic and Plumbing (a Puyallup contractor publishing its own replacement guide) puts $1,000 to $5,000 and beyond for extensive repairs such as tank replacement or drainfield restoration, and roughly $5,000 to $7,000 and up for a conventional gravity system, with a full installation able to pass $15,000. Where a real quote lands is decided by the system type, the soil and water table, access for a truck or an excavator, and whether the design has to move from gravity to pressure.
